About the coach

Joshua Beam

Coach Beam’s running journey began as a scraggly elementary school kid and flourished into an award winning college athlete. Beyond his passion for running fast times, he discovered a love for bringing others up in their own running journey. It was through an encouraging, relational method of coaching that the Longstride philosophy was developed.

Having coached young new runners, All-Americans and first time marathoners, Coach Beam understands the importance of developing athletes according to their lifestyle. Longstride running is about creating a habit of life that propels you toward success in athletics and in life.
